Professional membership is for editors and proofreaders who have established careers in the sector and are recognised for their expertise as highly skilled professionals.
This level is ideal for you if:
- you have at least 500 hours of work experience as an editor or proofreader and can provide at least one reference
- you’ve undertaken substantial training, including having completed your core editing or proofreading training
- you are accredited to the appropriate level by Board of Editors in the Life Sciences (BELS), Editors Canada, IPEd Australia or the South African Translators’ Institute.
