Following our first ever peer-to-peer group mentoring event in March, and based on feedback from members, we'll be hosting a second event specifically for Advanced Professional Members to connect with and learn from one another. This free event will take place on Wednesday 23 April from 1.30-2.30 BST. 

How will the event work? 

The event will be facilitated by the CIEP professional development manager, Sarah Magee. We’ll start with a brief introduction, before splitting off into small breakout groups where each member of the group will take it in turn sitting in the ‘hot seat’ to share the challenge they’re currently facing and receive advice and feedback from the other members of their group. When you register, you’ll be asked to share some information about what you’re hoping to get out of the session so we can try to allocate you to a breakout group that will be most relevant to you. At the end of the breakout sessions, we’ll come back together and have the chance to share any key learnings with the group as a whole.

If you don't currently have a specific challenge that you're working through but would like to join the event to offer some advice and feedback to your fellow editorial professionals, then that's fine too!

Who should join? 

This session is exclusively for Advanced Professional Members of the CIEP. Sessions for members at other grades will be available soon.   

Places are available on a first come, first served basis and will be limited to a maximum of 30 to allow sufficient time for each member to discuss their challenge in breakout groups.
