About Vittorio

Featured

Hi, I'm Vittorio and I specialise in copy-editing and re-writing, as well as translating. I got my PhD from St Andrews, where I studied Old Norse literature, language and history. I like to work with all kinds of clients, and have experience in literary, technical and academic fields as well as web-related jobs. My primary language has been English for more than a decade and I have used my linguistic proficiency in Germanic languages to strengthen my knowledge and take it to new levels. When not editing, I translate between my three main languages (English, Italian and Greek), specialising in translations into English. I also like to write and have some experience as a copywriter. My hobby – other than reading, of course – is photography. My favourite books are John Fowles’ The Magus, Herman Hesse’s Narcissus and Goldmund, Siddartha and The Glass Bead Game, and JRR Tolkien’s The Silmarilion and The Children of Hûrin.
