About Sharon

* School sciences *

I'm an experienced science editor and proofreader, specialising in school chemistry.

I work with educational publishers on science teaching resources - including course textbooks, teacher materials, digital interactives and blended courses - at KS3, GCSE and A level.

I specialise in:

  • content development
  • copy-editing
  • proofreading.

* Development editing *

I'm a subject specialist, with a chemistry degree from Imperial College London, and have a great eye for detail. This means I can make sure that your materials

  • are scientifically correct
  • map correctly to the relevant syllabus
  • deliver key concepts in an accessible way
  • are suitable for the target age group
  • fit your author brief
  • work with your design template.

I often work with teams of authors and am familiar with the main UK and international syllabuses. As well as working on new publications, I also work on re-editions for international markets.
