About Merl

I've been editing and writing for more than 30 years, for British and American audiences. British English is my first language.

After gaining my doctorate, I enjoyed an academic career in the humanities and social sciences. My work involved writing, editing and translating. I was brilliant at all three. And it was fun.

So much fun, in fact, that in 2007 I decided to retrain as a professional editor and translator.

But that's enough about me. What can I do for you?
