UK-based, working globally
I have been providing editorial services to organisations and individuals in the UK and internationally for over ten years, helping them ensure that their written content is clear, concise and consistent, and that key messages are well conveyed.
Services provided
The majority of my work is copy-editing, but I offer a range of editorial services, including proofreading, editorial reports, developmental editing and manuscript layout in Word (camera ready copy). If you are unsure about what editorial service you need then just get in touch and we can have a quick chat to see if and how I could help.
Experience
I specialise in non-fiction texts and have particular experience with multi-author books and reports written by non-native English speakers. I regularly undertake work for international policy and research organisations such as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and RAND Europe. In the past ten years I have edited almost 150 reports on diverse topics, from health to philosophy to governance to nuclear energy! I believe that not being an expert in a particular subject area helps me to ensure the clarity and consistency of a text.
Background
My first job after graduating university in 2003 was as editorial assistant for a construction magazine publisher. I went on to work for charities and local government organisations in London and Sussex, as well as for the OECD in Paris. My roles in these organisations involved writing and editing a range of documents, including case studies, articles, publications, newsletters and web content. I trained in journalism with the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) and received a distinction for its Postgraduate Diploma in Magazine Journalism in 2005.

You have done a very good job with clarifying and simplifying the language, the flow is much improved. Also your comments and questions have helped me to clarify some issues in the text. I will also be for ever grateful to you for sorting out the references, thank you so much! Siv Hilde Lindstrom, Policy Analyst, OECD
