About Lesley

General info

Earth-friendly editor with a passion for politics, the environment, travel, and education; specialising in academic papers, cultures, and smiles. In the 15 years or so that I've been editing I’ve had the privilege of working with top international academics within a range of fields on a range of subjects, including the humanities (history, politics, philosophy, arts and culture); social sciences (ethnic and cultural studies, media), and business economics; peppered with some diverse fiction thrown in for good measure. I love editing for many reasons, chief among them: authors are interesting, the work is diverse and it's rewarding to have had a hand in making something better than it started out.

I enjoy travelling and absorbing new cultures abroad and also love taking my dogs on road trips around the UK exploring new hills and woods. I'm a keen but somewhat sporadic gardener and love entertaining friends at home. My latest interest is languages and in between projects I'm currently honing my French up to a high enough level for translation.
