I'm a freelance copyeditor, technical writer and editorial advisor specialising in the energy, environment and technology sectors. I cover a wide range of subjects related to sustainable development. My experience is based on 20 years working in relevant fields and a master’s in Environmental Technology, supplemented by training in a range of editing skills. With extensive practical knowledge of the subject matter, I work with clients to produce accurate, polished and persuasive publications. These include books, guidance, reports, papers, web content and technical output.
I also apply the principles of plain English to widen audience readership and often amend text to meet clients’ specific style requirements. I have extensive experience of working with authors for whom English is not a native language.
As a freelancer, my copyediting skills have been honed mainly with intergovernmental organisations and government bodies, academics and the non-profit sector, covering a broad range of subjects. I have also edited and written corporate communication and promotional materials.
Clients value my flexibility, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
