With over 20 years of practical editorial and proofreading experience, I am a proficient and confident freelancer. My in-house background is primarily in educational contexts, having worked on General and Vocational syllabuses/specifications, examination material and revision guides up to Advanced Level standard or the international equivalents.
Since leaving behind in-house employment and becoming fully freelance in 2016, I have expanded my portfolio. Reference materials, textbooks, biographies, pamphlets and booklets have now become part of my repertoire, encompassing a diverse range of subject matter, not just educational.
I have recently worked extensively on international modified question papers. These have been a mix of enlarged font papers, modified language papers and braille transcripts.
On a personal level, I am approachable, fair and honest. I am realistic about workload and deadlines and communicate promptly and clearly with clients in response to their work requests, asking pertinent questions as necessary.
