Ian has an honours degree in Languages and Sociology and holds the qualification of Barrister, having been called to the Bar in 1997 (Middle Temple).
A freelance proofreader and copy-editor, he specializes in law and academic titles and is involved in a wide variety of projects, working principally with two of the leading university presses. He is commissioned annually to conduct the legal checking of the Blackstones Series of police manuals together with the mock promotion and investigator examinations.
