About Frances
I have been running my own business since 1996, editing and proofreading publications for professional organisations, businesses, publishers, not-for-profits and individual academics, including some for whom English is a second language. Before starting the business, I worked in production management in the printing industry and in publishing (business/finance and art publications). I hold bachelor's Honours degrees from London University in Biology and Art History; my PhD on the early work of artist Bridget Riley was published by Thames and Hudson in 2004. I have had essays published in exhibition catalogues in Britain, France, Germany and the USA, and I helped to curate an exhibition at Compton Verney in 2017.
