Estelle Lloyd | Proofreading, editing and project management for education

I am an experienced proofreader, editor and project manager, working mostly on educational materials.

I make sure publications are clear, user friendly and fit for their purpose, from assessment materials for primary schools to complex textbooks for secondary level and beyond; for teachers, pupils and parents.

I bring a positive and flexible attitude to whatever my clients ask me to do, particularly when almost inevitable but entirely unpredictable changes to the brief occur.

Background

I have worked on educational materials for most of my career, beginning with educational software, a brief swerve into a new-media agency, then back into educational communications, where I worked on a wide range of printed materials, websites and theatre-in-education projects, mostly for primary- and secondary-level education.

Since working freelance, I have continued to work in these areas, including some writing and consultancy for educational materials, as well as proofreading, editing and project-managing a wide range of publications.

Subjects I have worked on include English language and reading skills, maths, science, geography, finance education and personal, social and health education (PSHE).
