About AWE

Hello, I'm Aimee,

romance editing specialist, writing coach and author of Top Tropes: A Romance Writer's Guide.

I’m here to help you create your best work. I’ll be there to support you throughout the whole process, from outlining to publishing.
My background in education and counselling allows me to teach, encourage, and empathise. I am a fully qualified editor, have a BA in English, and am fully committed to continual professional development. I am a professional member of the CIEP and a member of EPANI, ALLi, and RNA; I have clients across four continents and am equally happy working in UK or US English.
When I’m not working, I’m either reading with endless mugs of tea, pottering in the garden, chatting with my chickens, playing with my cats and dogs, or trying to get my three teenagers out of bed at a reasonable hour!

Love working with her!

Monica James International Bestselling Romance Author

Aimee is the epitome of the cheerleader you want on your side. In addition to her professionalism and incredible knowledge of the English language, she has a way of setting an author's mind at ease. I'm not sure I ever want to publish another book unless it passes through her eyes first.

Kelly Kay Contemporary Romance Author

Aimee was the consummate professional, who willingly shared ideas and offered honest, constructive criticism which enhanced the book. At the same time, she guided me through a process which could have been daunting without her support.

She had a well trained eye and was always reliable, thorough and accurate. I could not have asked for more.

Lorna Windham Historical Romance Author

I looked at Aimee's list of testimonials and thought she wouldn't be bothered with a small indie author like me. On the contrary, I found Aimee to be very approachable, not only to a small time author, but also to my small niche genre (erotica). She responded quickly to my emails and I have nothing but praise for her work. Lastly, and for indie authors, very importantly - her work is reasonably priced.

Simone Blue Erotica Author

Aimee is a fabulous editor and proofreader. Her meticulous attention to detail has helped to polish my writing ready for publication. She is knowledgeable, reliable, and approachable. After submitting a manuscript, I have always been impressed by the speed in turnaround. Aimee ensures have the opportunity to discuss feedback or ask questions.

All my future work will go through Aimee as her input has been invaluable in my writing journey.
